Naughty Meal Planner

Other than Valentine's Day, I took a week off from cooking. This means we ate a lot of "assembled" meals. But I've got my butt in gear and finally went to the supermarket. Plus, I bought a new slow cooker and I'm eager to use it.

1) WW Mexican Style Pork and Sweet Potato Slow Cooker Stew

2) Chicken/Veggies/Rice Casserole

3) Chicken Caesar Pasta Salad

4) Beef Burgundy Stew in the Slow Cooker

On a diet note: I'm going to switch to the "WW Core" foods for a week to see if I can jump start my weight loss. This means I limit my foods to most things that can grown in nature...chicken/beef/veggies/fruit. So unless you ride around on your unicorn and find a Milky Way Dark Tree in nature, I'm stuck, at least for a week.

2. Chicken Chili

Amanda's Meals for the Week of Feb 7

1) Hot Dogs w/ Cole Slaw (for him) and Veggies (for me.) Luckily I don't like cole slaw so I won't be tempted to cheat.

2) Potato Cheese Soup & Ham

3) Whole Wheat Spaghetti w/ Meat Sauce, Salad and Bread

4) Big Salad: Bacon, Feta, Nuts, Tomatoes, Carrots, Cucumbers, Hardboiled Eggs and Green Peppers.

I feel kind of lazy about this week's menu...plus the 8.5 lb ham we cooked on Saturday is creating A LOT of leftovers for 2.5 people.

Tang's Week

Didn't really need to plan a lot of meals for this week b/c a lot of our meals have been out/will be out. However tonight I'm making Cajun Chicken Pasta, courtesy of Pioneer Woman. The picture looked so good when I saw it this morning I went out to the grocery and got all the ingredients!

Gotta plan some kid-friendly meals- my sister's kiddies will be staying with us Sat-Tues! Hopefully they won't be mad when I don't use 100% organic like their mama!

*update* PW's Cajun Chicken Pasta was oh so good, I felt like I was eating "restaurant food" ha! Was a hit with the husband as well! Would definitely recommend that recipe if you like 'cajuny' stuff!
